Biography
Hello and thank you for visiting my website. My name is Jade Staus and I am the owner and primary photographer for Staus Photography. My two main passions in life, after my family, are photography and music. After years of study, these passions led to my first professional photography jobs in 1995 photographing several local bands. By the end of 1998, I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing James Brown, Crystal Gayle, Jose Feliciano, Tammy Wynette and many more. In 1997, I shot my first solo wedding (after assisting on many). I’m not sure who was more nervous that day: the groom, the bride or their photographer. However, more than a decade later, the nervousness and doubt have been replaced with confidence and pleasure at capturing the moments of that special day. In 1999, I started shooting both studio and location portraits. In 2005, I overhauled my photographic gear with new professional digital camera bodies, studio and wedding lighting equipment. Although I resisted changing to digital professionally, I have over a decade of experience with Photoshop. I personally enhance every image I shoot and offer all images in both color and black and white. If you need help with invitations, business cards, brochures, etc., feel free to ask. In 2010 I once again upgraded my cameras. My primary cameras are now 21 mega pixels.
